MEETINGS

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 278 holds its meetings the third Sunday of every month. Meetings are now being held at the Elks Lodge # 2771 located at 3702 New Boston Road, Texarkana, Texas. The meal begins at 1:30 p.m., with the business session begining as soon as the meal is finished.

• Texarkana Area Veterans Council meets the 1st Thursday of each month at the American Legion Post (525 East Broad Street). Meeting time is 6:00 p.m. For more information, call 870/773-8279.

• Veterans of Foreign Wars #4562 meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at the post (Hwy 82E/E 9th St). Meeting time is 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 870/773-1772.

• Disabled American Veterans #222 meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at at 6:30 pm at the chapter home (1610 W. 18th Street). For more information, call 903/832-1003.

• Marine Corps League #1149 meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at Smokey Joe's. Meeting time is 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 870/773-8279.

• American Legion #25-58 meets the 3rd Saturday of each month, except there is no meeting in January, February, July & August.

• Elks Lodge on New Boston Road serves free breakfast to veterans the 3rd Saturday of each month from 7:00 am til 11:00 am.
